California 74 and Virtual World Parts

Entered California. They inspect you – I guess because they are a different country or something!

Anyway, Microsoft said I should take CA 74 to Temecula, CA where Mike is located. Who knew it would be such an AWESOME AWESOME KICKASS FREAKING ROAD!!

Mike’s Scirocco is sweet – it’s a race-scirocco.

He has some parts laying about. I think he made a thread about this.
He also has Scirocco body panels. They are very nice and rust-free. Some parts, chemicals, candy.

Muhahahahaha!

Various other adventures

Thrasher and I went to BAP Import auto parts. It had all kinds of neato stuff.
My computer’s screen will not turn on when the temperature is over 85 degrees. If it is already on – then the screen will stay on above 85. It’s the turning on that dosen’t work.

When it gets above 95 degrees, the computer slows down, gets crashy and sometimes it turns the screen off, then on – of course – it fails at turning back on. I see this screen A LOT.

Sciroccohal

Met Sciroccohal at Paul’s place. He has a very very nice and shiny Mk1 Scirocco. He showed me a cool modification to the heckblend on the rear of the car – 74 LEDs!

Arizona and THE THING?

I SAW THE THING!! MUAHAHAHAHHAH!

I also saw a bunch of classic cars, and a Ford F100 rally.
The thing is at the bottom of the block of pictures below.

Holloman AFB

Rave Racer took me on a tour of Holloman Air Force Base. There were stealth planes on sticks, German Tornado planes, the German Airforce, Remote-controlled F-4 Phantoms, and THE T-38s used as the enemy “MiGs” in the Top Gun movie.

Mk1 Scirocco Spotted!

I was in Encino, NM – a very abandoned town on US-285.

At an abandoned service station: a Mk1 Scirocco!!  This is the first unsolicited Scirocco sighting of this trip!! FINALLY!!! And it’s a good one too!

I can see the Cell tower I am posting from. These things aren’t very powerful out here. There is not much civilization around here either! It’s pretty neat being the only car in sight for miles and miles.

New Mexico State Line

I actually have more pictures than this – but the connection speed is very slow in this part of New Mexico – so I’ll just upload the border picture for now… 92 miles to go to get to Santa Fe.

Dinner, and Deer!

Here’s a picture of me in front of Pikes Peak at my parents’ house.

My mom made Chili and Blueberry Pie. Good stuff!

Then the wildlife came out for a picture!
